Port Moody; Bridging Time
This five-piece series explores the evolving architectural landscape of Port Moody, BC, highlighting the city's heritage buildings amidst rapid urban densification. Like many cities in BC and around the world, Port Moody is experiencing increased population growth, which has led to the retrofitting, demolition, or relocation of historical structures.
Through this series, I focus on five significant buildings from the city’s past—most of which have been preserved and thoughtfully integrated into new developments. The artwork captures these structures in their current context, emphasizing the harmonious blend of heritage and modernity. Each piece serves as a visual tribute to the city’s commitment to honoring its history while embracing the future.
